POOCH in the Pub

I just donated this beautiful jasper necklace to Project POOCH, for their POOCH in the Pub event. POOCH is a great program that provide opportunities for incarcerated youth and shelter animals. I had the pleasure of volunteering for them a few years back and will be forever touched by their mission, and Joan Dalton’s (Executive Director), commitment to both animals and the youth. She is an amazing woman who believes everyone deserves another chance. The youth learn invaluable skills while training and caring for dogs that would have otherwise been euthanized in a typical shelter environment. Project POOCH runs solely on donations and always use more support. You can help by going to their website to donate: www.pooch.org, or attend their POOCH in the Pub fundraising event. It will take place on Thursday, November 18th, 2010 from 6:30-10:00 pm. The event will be held at the Tiffany Center, 1410 SW Morrison, Portland, OR 97205.
