Good news! Sweet Jayne is now carrying my line! They have a beautiful space located on the eastside, so now you can find my jewelry on both sides of the river. They have so many cute, affordable items it’s hard to decide on what to buy. While I was there, I picked up a really cute mini dress that can be converted into a top for only $28! Ok, so my friend Stephanie, and I, applied for the holiday Crafty Wonderland show. We are hoping to get in and share a booth together. We find out on Monday whether, or not, we made it in. I can’t wait to find out. I’ll have to keep you all posted once I know.

Stephanie makes the custest felt food, made from recycled materials. The food makes a great toy for children or a cute keepsake for adults. She also makes adorable coin purses, also made from recycled and vintage fabrics. You can check out her creative designs at www.picklethings.etsy.com.

Mabel and Zora is a lovely ladie’s boutique, located in Portland, OR. They have a beautiful store in the Pearl District loaded with fun, fashionable clothing and accessories. They carry lines from French Connection, Trina Turk, Joe’s Jeans, locally designed accessories and much more.

I totally adore the owners- two of the coolest, sweetest people I know. They have carried my jewelry for almost three years now and it has been a match made in heaven ever since. They tend to sell out of my pieces quickly, so I try to replenish them with new stock frequently. If you see a piece you like there, act quickly, as it may not be there for long. Don’t forget to pick up a new dress while you’re there!

Crinoid Fossils

Crinoid fossils are one of the oldest fossils on our planet. These fossils used to be sea creatures, related to the starfish family. They can be found all over the world. I happened to find mine off of the waters of Lake Michigan. My Dad has also generously donated many of his fossil findings to my jewelry making cause.

Crinoids have always been a meaningful part of my life. I was told I found my first one at the age of two. I spent many a summer, usually with my Dad, hunting for these small round fossils. I like to use them in my jewelry from time to time. I think it’s a great way to display an interesting piece of history. The pieces I make with these fossils are very special and took countless hours to collect, sort and prepare for jewelry making.
